Booklist, Book Talk and Unique Questions Motivate Reading
The Book Club Game, its editions and journals motivate reading through an exciting booklist, a Book Talk where players continually share favorite books and the “dig- deep” generic questions that allow its players to reflect on universals and connect to their worlds and to other stories. When players learn to capture the magical messages in every story their reading motivation flourishes. Although you can play the game with ANY book, the game comes with a booklist of page-turners for all ages. As you move around the game board knowledge of these titles will allow you fill your loot bag, one way of winning the game. This part of the game facilitates a Book Talk where players share their favorite books and stories and all players create a personal booklist from the highly motivating recommendations of their peers.
Voice to Diverse Cultures, Age Groups & Genders Builds Motivation
After its players cooperatively piece the facts of the story together, The Book Club Game and its editions facilitate a conversation that integrates the lives of its players with the story that they share. In answering questions that propel players around the board, total participation of those playing at each turn, where all can give different answers and/or add to answers unveils the different views of its players’ of diverse backgrounds, age groups and genders. The nature of this peaceful and inviting discussion unfolds a celebration of differences and similarities in opinions and also a diverse sharing of favorite stories. When all are fused a pride associated with reading and motivation to read are built naturally.
