 The Book
Club Game builds
strong communication skills. The game's strategy makes each turn
taken everyone’s turn to respond. Each player
must listen keenly to each other player’s response in order
to spend a chip by adding to the response she heard or giving a completely
new response. Every response becomes important where listening and
speaking skills flourish. Players have an opportunity to tap into
the events of their own week sharing with the others moments that
took them through similar emotions and plots while visiting settings
and characters similar to the book shared. This becomes a time for
self-discovery and as well as a time for learning about others as
reactions, ideas and experiences are shared.
